Minesweeper is a logic game developed and published by Microsoft in 1990. The game is a computerized version of the classic pencil-and-paper game of the same name, and features a grid of squares that may or may not contain a mine. The player must reveal the squares without detonating the mines, and use the clues given by the numbers on the squares to deduce the location of the mines. The game has three difficulty levels, and the size of the grid and the number of mines vary depending on the level.
